Palm Sunday and George Foreman

An odd combination? Haven't heard too many Palm Sunday sermons featuring a story about George Foreman? At the age of 45 George stepped into the ring and won a World Heavyweight Championship. On the road into Jerusalem Jesus was heading for a battle--a battle for the ages.

The Mountain

Have you ever been to the top of a mountain? What do you remember the most?--the climb, the view from the top, or the descent? Jesus picked three very "human" disciples to accompany him to the top of the mountain. There they witnessed something that changed their perspective on who Jesus really is. They saw the "glory." Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "I've been to the mountain top." What about you? Check out today's message from the Scotch Ridge pulpit.

A New Direction

A lot of people avoid God because they relate God to a stuffy church service--singing the same old hymns and doing the same old things. In reality God is the most creative Force to experience and know. It is God's nature to do something new, something creative. That's why a decision to follow Christ will always lead you in a new direction. Check out today's message from the Scotch Ridge pulpit from the gospel of John 1:29-42.
