A Christmas Escape

The joys of Christmas are often tempered by this dangerous world we live in. So was the case on that first Christmas 2000 years ago. God sent Joseph a message, and because Joseph had an ear attuned to God's voice, the holy family escaped the murderous trechery of King Herod. Check out this week's message from the Scotch Ridge pulpit followed by the beautiful hymn, Leaning on the Everlasting Arms--this rendition borrowed from the theme song of movie "True Grit."

Surprise!

Elizabeth and Mary were surprised when they discovered they had conceived a child, both through extraordinary circumstances--Elizabeth after years of barrenness and Mary by the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit. Surprise! If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, then God has conceived his Son in you. Did you realize you had so much in common with Mary? Check out this week's message from the Scotch Ridge pulpit from Luke 1:39-56.

A Reason to Hope

In today's world of violence, evil, and hatred, a world on the brink of nuclear destruction, is there any reason to hope? The athiests say there is no reason for the season--don't believe. But I disagree. We have the best reason to hope. Here's today's message from the Scotch Ridge pulpit.
